Ski Lessons

Image
Josy started ski lessons for the year! It was our first time up the mountain and, um, there’s very little snow so it was a good thing it was our first time… But we had fun. While Josy was at his lesson, Catherine and I got to go skiing together for the first time ever.  Then after lunch Josy and I got to ski together for awhile. And this one is entirely too independent for his own good and decided that he can go up the chairlift all by himself…and then not wait for me at the bottom. He even went up with a friend! Meanwhile these two were in Seattle at an appointment, missing all of the fun!

The Superbowl

None of us care beans about football. At least, none of us except for Gabe. So this week was the Superbowl and I was planning that we’d all go to the pool and it would be empty because everyone was watching the game. Instead, Gabe washed to watch the game, so that’s what we did. We made sure to have lots of snuggle buddies. At one point, it was just me and the snuggle buddies. Unfortunately Gabe was going for the Chiefs and was convinced they could still pull it off mid-4th quarter… It ended up being a lot more fun than I thought and we all had a fun afternoon. Gabe was bummed about the results, but Josy was not, as he’d switched his allegiance from the Chiefs (because they’re red!) to the Eagles (because they had more points).

Home

We’ve been home for a month and life has been crazy. We showed up and had two solid weeks where 1-3 members of the family was sick every single day. Then I left for the weekend to surprise Laurie (a whole different post…). But we’re now all healthy and trying to get back into the swing of life, which is never boring… It’s been pretty warm, which is very bizarre for January. But last week we finally got some snow. Other area of town got a lot, but we only had a couple of inches. That said, the boys were determined to go sledding, so we headed out. As a side note, suddenly the boys are big enough to both pull the sled. How did that happen??? Josy was actually pushing Gabe at this point. It ended up being so much fun. But it was getting dark and we had to cook dinner, so we had to cut it short. It was the 100th day of school. Josy was supposed to dress up like he was from 100 years ago, so naturally Gabe had to join him. Funny, the both look about like normal… This sunrise  too pretty...
