France Day 14: Headed Home

Image
Going home is always hard. There’s the logistics of airports and luggage and making sure you didn’t forget anything. But there’s also the adjustment to trying to figure out home stuff instead of vacation stuff. But sadly, all good things must come to an end, and that includes our amazing trip to France. Luckily out flight wasn’t until the afternoon, so we had time for breakfast at our favorite cafe, where the boys looked like they were going to investigate a case on an old detective show. Then we headed to the airport, where I think that Gabe had enough snuggle buddies… We got home around midnight and went straight to bed. Unfortunately jet lag is dumb and we were awake fairly early… I told the boys they needed to stay awake until 7pm. Josy made it to 6:30 before just falling over.

France Day 13: Musee de l’Armee

The Musee de l’Armee. I think I could have left the big two there for the day and then picked them up for dinner. I mean, it was interesting, but there was a lot of stuff there and the different types of spears used in the battles in the 1700s just don’t hold my interest in the way that it does the boys… I literally brought my crochet with me. That way I could see stuff, but not get bored. And then we saw Napoleon’s tomb. Then I needed to do some more tourist shopping, so we headed towards a couple of shops and ended up at the Eiffel Tower again, which seemed a fitting place to end the trip.
