A Good Day for a Walk

The weather was beautiful on Saturday and we all needed to get out of the house and to go on an adventure, so we skipped naptime and went to one of our favorite trails. The double stroller has an issue with its tire, so we had to make a double stroller.

The river washed out a bunch of the trail, so we only made it about 3/4 of the way until we got a point where the stroller wouldn’t go any further. Luckily there wasa super awesome log to play on.

For awhile the boys were pretending it was a bus they were driving. Then it became a fishing boat.

Then it was time to head home, but Daddy had a “no sticks in the stroller” policy, so they both opted to walk back rather than drop their sticks.

Josy actually made it 3/4 of the way back before he dropped his stick and climbed in the stroller. Gabe dutifully picked up and carried to back to the car for him. However, it took him awhile, because Josy’s fishing pole doubled as a whip and he had to vanquish his mortal enemy, the devil’s club, before he could keep walking.

But eventually his enemy was defeated and he made it back to the car. But Daddy also had a “no sticks in the car” policy, so the sticks still got left behind…
