My Silly Boys

Image
We’ve had the extra kids just about every day for the last three weeks. It’s been fine, it just means that life is a little crazier than normal. Last Sunday evening they headed home because they had an appt, so they spent the night there. That meant that Monday morning I just had these two to get ready to go. Since it was spring break, we had a slow morning, involving lots of snuggles. Also, Gabe decided it would be the perfect time to start begging for a puppy. Sure. Our life doesn’t have enough chaos, why not add a puppy to the mix??? (Spoiler alert: no. We are not doing that right now.) G: Mom, I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, M: Enough reallys G: Want a dog Josy has also gotten really into running. They race around the house or he runs down the hall yelling “I’m a runner!!” Josy has also started telling jokes. J: What did the scarf say to the egg? You cwack me! J: What did the scarf say to the

A Day with Josy

Since I’m catching up on stuff, I don’t remember all of the details, like why I was working from home, but I worked from home one day a couple of weeks ago with Josy. So he and I went to the local play place. He and I don’t get a lot of play time just the two of us, so it was fun to have a chance to play.

Snow Day!

We had a crazy snowstorm. Conveniently, it was while Pat was out of town, which made things more fun… Realistically, that would have been a great day to work from home. But Gabe was supposed to go skiing with his class and I didn’t want him to miss it, so we headed out the door like normal. I dropped off Gabe and then drive down to drop off Josy. As we got out of the car, I realized that I stop had Gabe’s lunch. Lovely. Dude he was skiing, he had to have his lunch, so I drove back to the school. When I got to his classroom, the teacher told me that the field trip was off at the ski resort was closed for the day due to high winds, I drove back down to the office and realized that I was now driving in white out conditions. Lovely. But at this point both boys are at school, so I might as well just go to work. So I did. An hour later, the school district announced an early pickup. I picked up both boys and went home. That was a great plan, until I pulled into the house and realized that th

So Much Craziness…

I need to stop saying “life has been crazy” because apparently it never stops being crazy. That said, this has been an exceptionally crazy season of life… First of all, Pat has been traveling. At one point, he had been out of town for at least part of four of the last five weeks. Second, my friend, whose kids we’d had earlier in the year, had surgery. We had all three of her kids while she was out of town. Then her teenager went home and we had the two little ones. Then the youngest got Hand Foot and Mouth, so she went home with mom to recover, so we’ve just had the middle one. She’s finally recovered and came back last night. Hopefully her mom will be able to recover a bit more now that she’s not having to care for a sick kid at the same time… On top of that, last week Pat had hernia surgery. He’s back to work this week, but last week was a little rough… All that to say, there’s a reason I’ve been behind on posting pictures, so I have a lot to catch up on. We went out to dinner with G
