G: Do we lick bowels? M: Only if they’re full of ice cream. G: You’re joking me! Every morning Gabe watches Blippi when he wakes up and I go back to bed. He’s allowed to watch only Blippi and if another show turns on, he had to turn it off or he looses his Blippi privileges. This morning he came bursting into our bedroom and says "Mommy, did I lose the privilege???" Apparently another show had turned on... Also, what three year old talks like that??? A Goodbye

Tomorrow we sign all the papers and all of this house stuff will be all official. I’m glad it will all be done! Even though everything is lining up exactly the way it should, I’m still paranoid that something is going to happen and this whole thing will fall apart. When the ink is dry, I think I’ll feel better. But tonight I went to the old house for the last time. And not surprisingly, it made me way more emotional that it probably should have. While we were dating, I sat at that bar for many hours talking while Pat cooked me dinner. That’s the room where Pat told Bella her mom had died. Pat proposed to me in the dining room. I sat on the couch for a month in the living room while on bedrest. And that’s the house where we brought our tiny baby home from the hospital. We’ve lived a lot of life in that house. It’s funny. I almost didn’t want to marry Pat because I didn’t want to deal with his house. And now, 5 years later, I’m struggling to leave it. I know we’ll make many other w...

Utah/California: Day 2

We all got a pretty good night of sleep, then we headed down to breakfast. It was pretty hot already, so I’m glad that we were headed out of there quickly. Once we finished breakfast, we hopped in the car and headed east. We stopped in St George for lunch. It was supposed to be a quick stop at Cafe Rio, but we stood in line for an nearly an hour just to order food, so we ended up being really late to our final stop. But we finally found Bella!! We headed to the neighboring town and checked into our hotel. Then we did some shopping and got dinner and now we’re headed to bed. Although the most tired among us is refusing to go to sleep…
