Great Wolf Lodge

We spent three days at Great Wolf Lodge. At first, it seemed a little bit cheesy, but we all ended up having a wonderful time.

The boys loved the water park. My boys may not have been excited about the waterslides (although Bryson loved them!), but the little slides, the splash pad features, the wave pool, the lazy river and the giant tree house, were more than enough to keep them busy. Gabe never stopped moving, even when he was so cold that his chin was quivering. He did not want to quit for even one moment, he was having so much fun. He was also exhausted. We finally discovered the trick  to wearing him out….

The second night, Gabe slept in Bryson’s room with him. As we were leaving, Josy and I heard a noise in the lobby and went to check it out. It was “epic story time”, so the two of us got some special time.

Then I tried to put him to bed, but Gabe had left Fox, so Josy was pretty sure that he and Fox needed to stay up super late taking just the two of them…

They had a big adventure game that the big boys loved. They wandered around with their magic wands, finding treasure and defeating dragons.

We went back to the waterpark for more water fun. Here was Gabe getting a back massage…

They had a giant bucket that would fill up and then dump out all over the tree house. Some of us would deliberately avoid the treehouse so that we wouldn’t get dumped on. Others did not…

Gabe may have done this slide 50 times in a row…

Eventually we all got tired of the water park and while Daddy and Gabe did more of the wand game, Josy and I played bingo, where he won two prizes.

It was a lot of fun, although I don’t think we could have handled much more. The adults were wearing out just watching the little boys play,

Also, hotel rooms with the boys are fun. I actually had to tell Gabe to sleep on the bed, not the night stand…
