Great-Gram and Great-Gramps

Last January, Great-Gramps turned 90. Pat, Bella and I were planning on flying down for the weekend for the party, but then Gabe showed up crazy early and the whole plan got scrapped. He had to celebrate his birthday without us. Well, last Saturday was Great-Gram's birthday. Since we missed the last party, we hatched a plan. She knew that my parents (the new Gram and Gramps) would be there, but she didn't know that Gabe and I were going to fly down and that Katilyn and Bryson were going to fly up.

Gabe and I flew down Friday night and met up with everyone at the hotel. Katilyn and I were trying to put the boys to bed when suddenly Nathan walked in the door. Apparently there were surprises all around!

Gabe and Bryson weren't quite sure what to do with each other. The first time they saw each other, they looked at each other and Gabe squawked really loudly in Bryson's face. Poor Bryson got scared and started to cry. He got a bit better by the end of the weekend, but he still wasn't quite sure what to do with Gabe...

Great-Gram was completely surprised and absolutely thrilled. She had no idea that any of us would be there and I'm so glad that we all went down.

Great-Gramps has been having some health issues lately, so he's living in a convalescent home right now. We stopped by to visit him for awhile.

Gabe was very interested in Great-Gramps' hair...

Sunday we went to Uncle Randy's house and spent the afternoon with my cousins.

Nathan had to work on Monday, so he flew home Sunday night. The rest of us drove back up north to visit with Gram for the day. The surprises weren't over however, as Matt and Rachael suddenly walked in. It was pretty awesome.

It was a pretty great weekend. I'm so glad that we were able to surprise Great-Gram.

Here are a few more pictures of the weekend...
