A Very Happy Birthday Boy
Gabe turned 6 today. But rather than getting all nostalgic about how I can’t believe that it can possibly be six years since that little boy grabbed my finger for the first time, I’m going to focus on how much he enjoyed his day.
Since Gabe got lots of presents, Gramps brought Josy a new phone. He was super excited.
I put a very happy six-year-old to bed this evening. As he snuggled into his bed, he told me that he felt very loved. Yes, you are a very loved little boy.
Gabe and I made cupcakes for his class last night, so this morning he put the pirates toothpicks in them. Josy desperately wanted to help, but Gabe was pretty sure that he needed to do his own cupcakes all by himself.
Gabe was super excited to go to school because he was going to get to a birthday crown to wear, sit in seat number one, be the helper and get a cupcake. Could it get any better than that???

After school, he had a birthday lunch with the friends he hangs out with in the afternoon. Then this evening Gram and Gramps came over for Chicken Noodle Soup, presents and cupcakes.
