Yesterday

The boys are characters and it life is not boring. But I think we all knew that… That said, yesterday they were in rare form. I have no idea where some of these conversations come from, but here are some clips of my texts to Pat…

(Side note: I have a chest cold and have been doing a lot of coughing.)

M: Josy, do you know what would make me feel better? A Josy hug.
J: No. A cough drop.

To his credit, he found the cough drops in my purse, open one and stuck it in my mouth for me, but still. I really wanted the hug.

M: There’s a dead deer on the side of the road!
G: Can we go get it?
M: No. We’re not allowed to go pick up a dead deer and take it home and butcher it.
G: Not to butcher it!
M: What would we do with a dead deer?
G: Dig a hole in the front yard and bury it.
M: No

There were some serious shenanigans going on in the car. When I left to go pick up the food, I told Josy he was in charge of making sure there were no shenanigans. When I got back in the car, he yelled “SHENANIGANS!” At the top of his lungs and they both threw their boots at me.

And then there was this sweet moment. I love my boys.
