Utah/California: Day 9

Today was a much quieter day. We slept in and had a slow morning before heading to the USS Midway.

When we showed up, Gabe informed us that it was the best day of his life, and he hadn’t even seen it yet!

When we got on the ship, they had free audio guides. The boys both got them and faithfully listened to every single  prompt.

It was an amazing tour. We got to wander all over the ship, plus they had a bunch of ships (or parts of ships) to climb on.

Eventually we got up to the top deck.

Then our parking meter was about to run out, so we headed back to the car. The boys weren’t particularly happy, but they were hungry, so that did help. We had a lovely lunch (at 3:30…), then wandered around a bit before eventually heading back to the house. Then Pat went to pick up a pizza while the boys and I watched Beethoven.

It’s was a lovely day.
