8th Grade Promotion

If there are any benefits to this whole pandemic-let’s-cancel-everything-and-turn-it-all-virtual thing, it was 8th grade promotion. Since Bella hasn’t been living with us for the last year and she’s multiple plane rides away, we figured that we were going to miss 8th grade graduation. However, then the whole world went crazy and graduation suddenly became virtual, which means that this week we were able to login and watch it. She even gave a speech, which is definitely not on her lost of favorite things to do, so that was fun to watch. And it was good to see some of her friends. Also, it was good that we had a mute button because our other two little crazy monkeys would have definitely tried to steal the show if we hadn’t. As it was we had to convince Gabe to stop waving at Bella when other kids were giving speeches.

After the ceremony they had a big parade (which we obviously missed) and they all got their diplomas.

And just like that, we now have a high schooler.
