Day 6: Ronda

Since part of this trip is to show Pat and the boys pictures of my life when I was in Spain, I wanted to show them some of the neighboring towns that we visited as well. Ronda was one of those towns, so I booked us a bus trip to go see the Pueblos Blancos and Ronda.

This should have been a great plan. However, the Pueblos Blancos, were up very winding roads. Like, crazy windy. As in, it should definitely not be attempted if you are at all prone to motion sickness. Even the husband, with the stomach of steel, was struggling.

But enough about that. Let’s just say that the day was a bit tainted due to starting the day like that…

Our first stop was Zahara.

We visited an olive oil farm that the family had been running for 12 generations and tasted some fresh olive oil.

Then we headed for Grazalema, where we had a lovely lunch.

The boys were constantly impressed with how narrow the roads were.

Then we headed up to Ronda. First we saw the famous bridge.

Then we got ice cream and did some shopping. Gabe made friends with Don Quijote.

By the time we got back to Seville, we were all exhausted, so we got a fast food dinner and headed back to the house to sleep.

It was a long day and there was no siesta involved, so the boys were fried by the end. But they did so well. We had multiple people on the tour tell us how impressed they were with our boys. That definitely made us proud. They’ve done amazing so far.
