Phoenix Day 2: The Train Park
Gabe has been super excited to go to the train park. It was super cute. We’d told him that we’d go after his nap, so as soon as he woke up, he called for Gram. When she walked in the first thing he said was “we go to the train park?”
They had an entire building of miniature trains to look at.
They had a carousel, which Gabe didn’t really like. He told me he “didn’t like the up and down.”
They even had a little train that you could ride.
Really, it was every little boy’s dream. Plus, Katilyn and I didn’t have to worry about our kids because the big boys were keeping and eye on them, even following them around the playground.
We met up with Uncle Rich and Crystal, as well as my cousins Shelly and Hennie and their three boys. Katilyn, Seth and Bryson shower up too, after Bryson woke up from his nap. Shelly’s boys thought the little boys were wonderful and were immediately attached. In fact, there was a fair bit of drama before Bryson showed up, because Gabe and her oldest had suddenly become attached at the hip and the middle boy was distraught because Gabe didn’t want to hang out with him and where was Bryson??? Once Bryson showed up all was well in the world and the each had a toddler to take care of.
I’m pretty sure the train park was everything Gabe had dreamed of. There was a huge train that they got to tour.
