Phoenix Day 5: The Children’s Museum

For our last full day, we decided to go to the Children’s Museum (and make it further than the parking lot...). It was amazing. We had to pull Gabe away from every area so that we could keep exploring or he would have been perfectly happy to stay where he was.

We started out by playing in this amazing tree house. (If you look close, you can see Gabe, Katilyn and Bryson.)

Then the boys decided to make some hot dogs for Gram.

They raced little cars down a track.

And then rode bigger cars.

They went through the car wash.

Gabe did some grocery shopping.

And then we went back to the giant treehouse, where I followed Gabe in.

It was a pretty fun day. There were a bunch of field trip kids at the beginning that made things interesting since they were in school and not particularly focused on being aware of toddlers, but we all survived.

The boys were wiped out after playing all morning. At lunch Gabe asked Auntie Katilyn for some avocado. She told him to finish the rest of his sandwich. A few minutes later he told me he wanted a nap. I asked him if he wanted to finish his sandwich and have avocado. He said “I take a nap and then I eat the avocado. That’s a good plan.” Okay then.

After naps we took the boys to the splashpad. They were the only ones there since it was 5pm and not exactly warm, but whatever. They didn’t mind...

All in all, it was a good last day.
