Pumpkin and Football

We had a fun Saturday. I mean, it was cold and wet and windy, but we still managed to make it fun.

First of all, the boys and I hit up all of the pumpkin patches looking for the perfect pumpkins. Our first stop was at the football field where they happened to have giant pumpkins.

Then we went to the hardware store. Those were definitely more Josy sized, to the point where we had to discuss the fact that you’re not allowed to throw the pumpkins.

Then we went home for lunch and naps, because a couple of hours later we went to the football game. Bella was playing in the pep band, so we wanted to hear her play. Um, it was cold. Very, very cold. So cold in fact that we only made it through half the game, but we did make it and it was fun to hear Bella play.

Then Pat and Gabe left to go to the drive in to watch Wallace and Grommit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Neither of them had ever been to a drive in before, so we packed them a pile of blankets and a bucket of popcorn and off they went.

And the other three of us stayed home. But it was a nice quiet evening. Exactly what we all needed.
