Mitchell's Wedding
On Saturday, Mitchell got married.
The wedding was wonderful. The rain held off until the moment the ceremony ended, which is pretty impressive for here. Plus, a whole pile of my kids from my youth staff days were there. I counted 11 out of the 18 kids that I took on that trip to Nic. It's so much fun to get to see them all again, which doesn't happen too much, since they all have lives that don't involve coming home to hang out with their old youth leaders...
They also had a photo booth, which Bella loved and the boys didn't really understand...
Then in place of cake, they had donuts. Gabe was thrilled. Also, you can tell how exhausted he is...
It was a pretty great day.
Mitchell is one of Nathan's best friends. When they were in high school, he was pretty much little brother #3. We did pizza after church every Sunday and it was our family, Laurie and Mitchell. He was one of the kids that I took to Nicaragua on a missions trip, and once I take you to Nicaragua, I pretty much consider you one of my kids for life. Needless to say, Mitchell has been a big part of our lives. Ironically enough, now he works with Pat, so he's still a part of our life, but in a much different capacity...
To make things even more fun, Nathan and Cassie flew in for the wedding. Unfortunately, Nathan is in a pretty intense grad school program and couldn't take any time off, so he flew in from Hawaii early Saturday morning and flew out Sunday morning. So we had a big family breakfast as soon as he got off the plane, since that was our only time with him.
Gabe wore his "Uncle Nafan" outfit for the occasion. Funny enough, when we showed up, Nathan was wearing matching pants...

When we got to the reception, there was a huge dance floor. Pretty much, it was the perfect place for Gabe and Bryson to spend the next two hours running around, spinning in circles, and doing interpretive dancing. Seriously, they spent so much time dancing that by the time that the actual dancing started, they were completely worn out!
