Naples
When we decided to come to Florida, we called up everyone that we knew lived down here. It turns out that neither of Pat’s nephews are here, but his sister moved back a couple of weeks ago. So yesterday we drove over to Naples to hang out with Auntie Rachel.
Gabe is going to have to work on his selfie skills. He was actually perfectly happy, even though he looks rather pathetic in this picture.
We managed to turn Gabe into a water baby! Every time we’d get out of the water with him, he’d look at the other parent and say “Mommy I want to go in the ocean with you!” He loved it! Bella did too, but she also managed to collect a big pile of shells, which Great Gram would be very proud of.
Oh, and Gabe took a tumble yesterday and landed head first on the asphalt, which is why his head looks like that. Holding hands is hard when everyone’s hand is slippery with sweat and sunscreen.

Naples is lovely! We spent most of the day at a beautiful beach with a nice breeze and warm water that didn’t have crazy waves. Does it get better than that???

The first time Gabe was in the water, a boy came up to him and gave him a sea snail. Gabe thought it was wonderful and managed to keep track of it the entire time we were there. We made him throw it back in the water before we left. “Boy give me sea snail. Very nice Gabey.”
